What is Medical Qi-gong?

​

Medical Qigong is an ancient form of Chinese energetic medicine, and is one of the five main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), along with acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion and medical massage(Tuina). As with the other "Branches" of TCM, healing occurs through balancing qi or electromagnetic energy which surrounds and pervades all living creatures.

Disruptions in the electromagnetic energy of the body occur throughout our lifetime as a result of poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, injuries, surgery, suppression of emotions, and aging. The goal of Qigong is to correct these bio-energetic imbalances and blockages. This enables the body to strengthen and regulate the internal organs, the nervous system and the immune system, relieve pain, regulate hormones, and strengthen and release deep-seated emotions and stress.

Medical qigong exercise use physical movement, breathing methods and mental intention to correct and restore the function in the body.  Client will be given qigong prescriptions to assist in their ongoing healing. Tailored specifically to the client medical qigong exercises use.

Medical qigong is a complete system of health care that recognizes the root causes of symptoms or disease, and treats the client as a whole.

Introduction to Medical Qigong and possible reactions to it.

The first practise is of the whole Beginner Level  (Movement 1 to 15)

Relaxing Techniques and Learning of the first 6 movements of Beginner Level

What to expect in the first week after  practice?

Eg. Detoxification and sleep improvement etc.

Exchange of feedback from the first week practising and possible reactions

Practise of the first 6  movements and corrections of where people are making errors, learn  new movement 7 to 12.

Learning about yourself: Introduction to Qi and common Kidney Qi deficiency Symptoms and what people can do to strengthen the Kidney Energy?

Appointment 3 

Exchange of feedback from the second week practising and possible reactions.

Practise of the movements learnt and corrections. Learn  new movement 12 to15.

 Internal Organs relaxation technique.

learning about yourself: How to increase in general the energy and common Spleen Qi deficiency Symptoms and what the patients can do to strengthen the Spleen Energy?

Appointment 4 

Exchange of feedback from practising and possible reactions.

Practise of the movements learnt and corrections and learn the first 3 movements from the advanced level.

Learning about yourself: understand your emotions and common liver Symptoms and what the patients can do to feel better?

 

There will be a gap after the 4th appointment, students will keep practice the beginner movement every day according the exercise plan, write down the diary if possible, the advanced level will begin a month later. During the gap month we will have a Whatsapp group to answer all the questions.

 

Appointment 5

Exchange of feedback from practising and possible reactions after a month self practice .Practise of the movements learnt and corrections and learn the first 8 movements from the advanced level.

Learning about yourself: understand your immunity and emotions and common lung Symptoms and what the patients can do to strengthen the immunity.

Practise of the movements learnt and corrections and learn all the movements from the advanced level. Practise the whole movements.

Learning about yourself: Consolidation of the past learning. Exercising plans and possible reactions in the following months. Questions and Answers. Practice makes master. Practise the whole beginner and advance level movements,
